Some more
issues
- John is also concerned about the confidentiality of
email.
Both he and his customers have found it useful, and it has reduced postage
costs too. However, at the moment anyone can see anyone else's email.
- John would like to keep the company accounts on a PC at
work
rather than at home, but if he brings the accounts to the office will they
be
secure? John doubts that Dave's PC knowledge extends to good security
practices, but even if it does it seems wrong to ask Dave how to prevent all
employees (including Dave himself) from accessing accounting data.
- John often travels and sometimes has to stay away
overnight.
It would be particularly useful if he could check his email while he was
away,
but currently that means calling Angela and asking her to read it out to
him.
- Simon and Sarah in sales have said the business would be
helped by having a website, and John agrees. However, he has no experience
of
setting up a website and is concerned that this could be a huge cost for
little gain.
